Not Deemed Newsworthy

I haven’t seen this on mainstream media, not that I have checked them ALL, but it appears that this is not newsworthy…

Manning judge orders prosecutors to explain alleged evidence cover-up

In response to calls from the defense, a military judge has ordered US Army prosecutors to detail their effort to obtain and share evidence they collected in the case of Bradley Manning, the man suspected of leaking classified files to WikiLeaks.

Monday’s ruling by Col. Denise Lind is a partial victory for Manning’s defense team, which said prosecutors failed to duly share evidence they plan to present in the military trial. Of particular interest to defense lawyer David Coombs were written assessments by governmental agencies of the damage the leak allegedly caused.

Manning is charged with hurting America’s national security and assisting its enemies by sending classified materials to WikiLeaks, a charge his defense challenges. Coombs says the dragging of feet over evidence-sharing affects the suspect’s right to a fair trial.

Military prosecutor Army Maj. Ashden Fein insists that his team acts in line with its duty while collecting evidence and sharing it with the defense. He said the process was time consuming due to the large number of government agencies it involves.

Yet the judge told prosecutors to draft a “due diligence statement,” detailing their work over the two years since Manning was charged. She set the deadline for July 25, but indicated that it may be pushed back if necessary.

Bradley Manning, 24, is facing 22 charges over his actions in 2009 and 2010, when he served as an intelligence analyst at a Baghdad base. He faces possible life imprisonment over the alleged crimes.

Wikileaks for President

Julian Assamge AFP©

Not quite, but Australians appear to want Julian Assange as a member of the Australian senate.

Americans want him in jail.

The Wikileaks founder already has a 38% following with the Greens, 27% with Labour and 22% of the conservatives prepared to vote for him.

AND… he’s not even officially in the race, yet. Although he did indicate running back in March.

So, on one side of the world they want him in government and on the other they want him in jail. Isn’t this rather ironic? Whose opinion would you trust?

It may well be that the USA is going to try and extradite an enemy politician, although the Australian elections are in 2013, that’s not all too far in the future.

Wouldn’t the shit hit the fan.

Another Piece of Political Shit

This time in India.

India’s Mayawati ‘sent jet to collect shoes’

The chief minister of India’s Uttar Pradesh state sent an empty private jet to get a pair of sandals from Mumbai, leaked US diplomatic cables say.

Ms Mayawati has sparked controversy for building statues of herself

Ms Mayawati, an icon to millions of low-caste Dalits, rules over India’s most populous state which is also one of the poorest in the country.

But the cables on whistleblower site Wikileaks described her as “obsessed with becoming Prime Minister”.

Just another example of why we need Wikileaks.

This type of shit needs to be wiped clean. The people need to know.

She even has the cops cleaning her shoes. Source: The Social Blawg Read more

The People are Waking Up

Much has been said about Wikileaks, etc. The people who have something to hide have been vitriolic in their condemnation of the release of secret documents. Documents that have shown just how shady are the dealings of governments and military. Of course they don’t want their dirty laundry to be aired in public.

Politics and war are not pretty, they are dirty sordid affairs and if the people are aware of how dirty and sordid, then the politicians wouldn’t have a prayer of ever being reelected.

This is what it is really all about. Those in power want to stay in power.

Whistleblowing is about making politicians, and by virtue their military cronies, transparent as they should be.

The people of the world need Wikileaks to tell them the truth, because the politicians could lie straight in bed.

In more recent days, with the fall of Tripoli, the press is having a field day with the documents recovered from government offices. Documents that are far more damaging to the American and English than Wikileaks.

The documents recovered so far show that both American and English intelligence agencies (now there’s an oxymoron) colluded with the Libyan despot in many ways that are considered illegal and despicable.

Now the British Prime Minister is calling for an inquiry into the reported dealings, reported in the BBC News today. The agencies of both countries have been caught with their pants down and are back peddling like crazy in their embarrassment.

But the result of all this is the people are now beginning to see their governments for what they are.

Maybe with their eyes open a little further they will see that the conspiracy theorists are not so full of bullshit after all; that their governments are capable of anything, and I mean ANYTHING,  in the name of self-preservation, nothing at all to do with serving the people. Serving the people is not even on the agenda.

The sheeple have been following the leader blindly for too long; and that’s exactly what the governments want. As long as the sheeple are blind to what’s going on, the governments can do what they please.

Wikileaks, Libyan Files, etc are precisely what we need.

The politicians and military need to be brought back into line and serve the people; that’s what they were elected for.
