I am paid $150 a week for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for things, and if any of you would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before 24 hours, my occupation would be gone.
The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press. We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks – they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes!”

Slashing through the bland authoritative front the media have presented, people want to know more about the Sandy Hook massacre. But the elite networks have no intention of answering the most obvious questions.
Why? Because the follow-up agenda of gun control is all important, and the official Sandy Hook scenario must stand, in order to forward that agenda.
Any return to the scene of the crime will:
divert media coverage from its all-out push to make guns into taboo objects of scorn, ridicule, fear, and hatred;
focus attention on reasons for the massacre that have nothing to do with guns;
engender deep distrust of the Sandy Hook police investigation and therefore, by association, throw into doubt the notion that law-enforcement personnel should be the only people carrying guns in America.
Here are 10 things the media doesn’t want to know about and has no intention of investigating. These are only the basics, amid a wider sea of unanswered questions:

Lance Armstrong set for Oprah Winfrey interview
US cyclist Lance Armstrong will be interviewed by chat show host Oprah Winfrey…
Quite frankly, who gives a shit?
Mainstream media, how about giving the world some real news!
Stuff that the people NEED to know!
This isn’t news, it’s bullshit!
“Since the post-9/11 launch of U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the corporate-controlled mainstream media has been remarkably successful at keeping the realities of war away from the TV screens. News executives have heeded the complaints of war hawks complaining about “unpatriotic” coverage of war and have clamped down tightly on images that might turn public opinion against war. Until recently, this censorship of war casualties included a prohibition on the broadcasting of images of military coffins arriving at Dover Air Force Base. Ignoring the grim realities of war also has allowed for its glamorization through television programs such as “Stars Earn Stripes.”” – The Human Cost of War on Iran
Now watch this:
Now read this:
The mainstream media are not telling the people the real truth, by omission, they are lying to the public.
In that video I did not see one weapon on the ground.
No RPGs, no AK-47s “we have five or six individuals armed with AK-47s” that was bullshit, pure bullshit.
What we had was an Apache helicopter full of bloodthirsty, trigger happy, murderous bastards.
There was no mention of weapons found at the scene by the ground forces.
Now one can see why the American military didn’t want this video released.
This is why we need Wikileaks, because the authorities are lying to the people.
How many videos like this never reached the people?
Any attack in the Middle East will be the same, the people will NOT be told the truth, before, during nor after the event, because the government doesn’t want the people to be sensitised to the atrocities and aftermath.
Keep the people ignorant, and the people remain compliant.
Yet another story of a government repressing bloggers with tragic consequences.
Mother of Vietnamese blogger ‘burns herself to death’
The mother of a prominent Vietnamese blogger has died from her injuries after setting herself on fire in front of government offices, her family says.
She was protesting against the detention of her daughter, Ta Phong Tan, who is facing charges of anti-state propaganda, another daughter told the BBC’s Vietnamese service.
Dang Thi Kim Lieng set herself alight in southern Bac Lieu province.
Her daughter faces trial in August and could be jailed for 20 years.
Dang Thi Kim Lieng went alone, without telling anyone, to the local government building in Bac Lieu, the second daughter told the BBC.
The police have made no comment, but activists and lawyers said that Mrs Dang died while being taken by police to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
She was said to be extremely worried about the fate of her daughter, who she had not seen since her arrest last September.
Ta Phong Tan was arrested by the authorities with other bloggers, who are also accused of subversive activities in a state that controls the media and has little tolerance for criticism.
She is a former policewoman who built up a following with her reports on police abuses and injustices in the legal system.
Governments are stupid. It doesn’t matter if it is Vietnam, Ethiopia or the USA. The world of communication has changed, through blogs the people have more voice than before. Controllable media like TV and newspapers are going the way of the dinosaurs for those who want the truth.
If the government fears the blogger, then the government is doing something wrong. Not the bloggers.
The governments need to change their attitudes; not the other way round.
Blogging has brought about levels of transparency that governments have never deal with before. The people are demanding the truth. Governments can no longer hide their criminal activities.
Americans’ confidence in television news has hit an all-time low, according to a new survey by Gallup.
Twenty-one percent of the 1,004 adults polled said they had “a great deal” or “a lot” of confidence in television news media, continuing a steady decline from the 46 percent who expressed confidence in television media in 1993.
Meanwhile, just 25 percent of those polled expressed confidence in newspapers, the second-lowest rating since 1973 and less than half of the 51-percent peak in 1979.
Of 16 U.S. institutions tested — including the police, the church, the Supreme Court, banks, and big business — newspapers ranked tenth, television news eleventh. (The military is the most trusted institution, with a 75 percent confidence rating; Congress is the least trusted institution, with a 13 percent confidence rating).
“It is not clear precisely why Americans soured so much on television news this year compared with last,” when confidence was at 27 percent, the authors at Gallup wrote. “Americans’ negativity likely reflects the continuation of a broader trend that appeared to enjoy only a brief respite last year. Americans have grown more negative about the media in recent years, as they have about many other U.S. institutions and the direction of the country in general.”
Confidence in television news also declined across the ideological spectrum, though the decline in confidence among liberals and moderates was far more severe, putting their outlook below that of conservatives for the first time since 2007. Nineteen percent of liberals expressed confidence in television media, versus 20 percent of moderates and 22 percent of conservatives.
Gallup also cited the blunders at CNN and Fox News during the Supreme Court healthcare ruling as a sign that “confidence in television news could plummet further.”
“[T]hese and other networks — and the news media as a whole — will have to renew their efforts to show Americans that they deserve a higher level of confidence than what they enjoy today,” the authors wrote.
Until the MSM learn to tell the truth, learn to inform, learn to be honest, learn to be independent the public will continue to lose confidence.
These figures show that 79% are beginning to wake up to the bullshit.
